We like to think that CTEC is one of, if not, the best motorcycle training course available in Canada. A main reason for this is the quality of instructors. Our instructors have well over 30 years of consecutive instructing experience, training tens upon thousands of students the joy of safe motorcycle riding, and are continually held to the highest of standards each and every time they take on a course of new students. Here is a list profiling just some of the remarkable talent and experience on staff at CTEC.
From a very early age, Henry dreamed of riding motorcycles. Of course, his parents were completely against the idea however, they soon realized that this was more of a passion for Henry than just a passing hobby. After years of waiting and saving, Henry finally purchased a 2005 Yamaha R6 once the final dollars were saved. Henry was so focussed on buying a motorcycle that he quickly realized he didn't have a Class 6 Licence and searched out motorcycle rider training. After some investigation of courses in the area Henry took rider training with CTEC in early 2010. As soon as the course was done, Henry was completely hooked on two wheels. Just knowing how to ride wasn't enough so he contacted CTEC's head instructor James McCarthy about a career in motorcycling. James suggested next level advanced training or trying out to be an instructor candidate with CTEC. Henry emailed, called and texted James relentlessly until James finally gave Henry an opportunity to try out for the CTEC as a motorcycle instructor candidate. Henry has since become one of CTEC's brightest and most dedicated motorcycle instructors. Despite being a full time student, Henry has dedicated all of his spare time to learning the craft or training new riders as well as constantly challenging himself to become a better rider.
When asked, Henry stated that his favourite part of being a motorcycle instructor is watching each rider succeed in meeting their riding goals and seeing the excitement in each and every student when they stop by to show of their new motorcycle after graduating.
Henry's hobbies include collecting motorcycle riding gear. He has an expansive collection of helmets, riding coats, riding gloves and riding boots. Henry also loves trying out new restaurants and he loves dragging his fellow instructors out for meals and movies.
Henry recently graduated from Grant MaCewan University with an accounting degree in 2015 and is pursuing a career in the accounting field. He is hoping that his new accounting career will eventually help fund his motorcycle habit with the purchase of more motorcycles and riding gear.
